Mark your calendars — the next Haynie-Sirrine Neighborhood Association meeting is on Wednesday, August 27th! This meeting will last 90 minutes to allow enough time for our special guest speakers.
🗓️ Wednesday, August 27th
🕚 6-7:30 pm
📍 Next Innovation Center, 411 University Ridge
Clint Link, the City's Director of Engineering Services, will open the meeting with a review of the Haynie Street traffic concerns. This discussion will include a review of the Haynie/Augusta intersection and traffic flows.
We are pleased to announce that Matt Alexander and Tina Belge, the candidates for the upcoming vacant Greenville City Council at-large seat, will attend the meeting. The seat they are running for is currently held by Russell Stall, who is in the final year of his current term and will not be seeking re-election. There are two at-large seats on City Council, and council members holding these seats represent the entire City of Greenville. The election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
Each candidate will be given 30 minutes to speak, with a coin toss to determine who goes first. The candidates will use their 30 minutes to introduce themselves to the neighborhood, highlight their areas of policy emphasis, answer questions, and engage in a dialogue with the attendees. The 30 minute time slots will be strictly managed.
Matt Alexander is the Republican candidate for the at-large seat. After graduating from Furman University, Matt served as a helicopter pilot in the US Army, flying MEDEVAC helicopters, including a tour of duty in Iraq. Matt earned a graduate degree from Clemson, and has worked in various roles within the Greenville commercial real estate industry since 2014. Matt is currently Vice President of Development & Operations of The Parker Group, a local development firm focused on residential and adaptive reuse real estate.
