Proposed Haynie-Sirrine Rezoning Map Reviewed by Planning Commission on November 6th
The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on November 6th to review the Haynie-Sirrine rezoning map proposed by the City planning staff. At the November 6th meeting, public comments were made by individual residents and property owners. The Haynie-Sirrine Neighborhood Association leadership spoke in favor of the proposed zoning map. The proposed rezoning map will bring Haynie-Sirrine into the city-wide Greenville Development Code, which was adopted in 2023. The rezoning map (pictured below) will replace the existing Haynie-Sirrine Planned Development (PD) zoning district and the Neighborhood Code, which was adopted over 20 years ago.

The proposed zoning map is subject to change following public comment and City Council review.
Following public comment and discussion, the Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the rezoning map as submitted by the planning staff. It is important to note that the Planning Commission solely provides a recommendation to City Council. It is anticipated that City Council will consider the 1st reading of the rezone map at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on November 24th, with the final reading on December 8th. If you have any concerns or comments, please contact the planning staff at planning@greenvillesc.gov.
